Taron Egerton
There are rumours Welsh actor Taron Egerton could be one of the special guests after playing Elton in the 2019 film Rocketman and since striking up a friendship with the star. Taron also posted a cryptic Instagram post about having a "quiet weekend", which you can read more about here. He has since confirmed he is at Glastonbury posting pictures from the festival and videos of him watching Welsh band the Manic Street Preachers.
Britney Spears
Britney Spears recently collaborated with Elton John for a cover of his 1971 hit 'Tiny Dancer' with the two working together to create a song called Hold Me Closer. It has now been reported she has been spotted in Bristol Airport, suspiciously close to the Glastonbury site in Somerset, and she has been dropping hints on her Instagram. On Thursday, June 22, Britney posted a picture of an apple that appears to be cut in the shape of St George’s Flag and left three emojis of the Union Jack. The next day, she shared artwork of what looks like a fish sandwich and chips alongside the same caption.
Axl Rose
After Guns 'n' Roses headlined on Saturday, June 25 some fans are expecting to see Axl Rose again, but this time joining Elton on stage. The pair have collaborated before when they performed Bohemian Rhapsody together at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992.
Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney has been spotted at Glastonbury enjoying the Guns 'n' Roses and Foo Fighters set, leading some to think he might not just be a spectator. Fans did originally wonder if Paul would join Guns 'n' Roses for their set, however after he enjoyed it from the crowd, could he be at Glastonbury for Elton?
Harry Styles
Other fans are convinced it could be pop icon Harry Styles, who recently performed at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff (you can read our review here) after Rick Astley performed a cover of As It Was at his Glastonbury set on Saturday, June 24. They believe Rick's cover is hinting at an appearance from the global superstar.
Coldplay/Chris Martin
The same logic has been applied to Coldplay or Chris Martin appearing alongside Elton after Lizzo performed a cover of Coldplay's Yellow at her Glastonbury set on Saturday, June 24.
Lady Gaga
Both Gaga and Elton have a passion for fashion and we’ve no doubt that if they appeared at Glastonbury together, things would be no different. They have collaborated several times, including performing live together at the Grammys in 2010, recording Hello, Hello for the Gnomeo & Juliet film in 2011, performing Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me live in 2016, and creating Sine From Above together in 2020. Gaga also covered Elton's track Your Song in 2018 and is the Godmother of his two children Zachary and Elijah.
