A swan had to be rescued at a Scots golf club after a hook had went through her beak due to discarded fishing tackle.
The female swan had become attached to a tree at Pumpherston Golf Club near Livingston on April 29 and comes just weeks after her mate had to be taken to the vet due to injuries from a fishing hook.
The incident has sparked Scotland's leading animal welfare charity to urged fishing enthusiasts not to leave equipment and show some consideration to the wildlife in the water.
