A vegan burger joint is to open in Cardiff after a planning application to take over a building in the city centre was approved. Oowee Vegan has locations across the UK, including London, Bristol and Brighton but will open its first Welsh branch on one of the capital's busiest streets.
The new restaurant will open on John Street, taking over the former site of William Hill bookmakers. A planning application to transform the vacant building into a restaurant was submitted to Cardiff Council earlier this year and was approved on Monday, August 22.
The Oowee Vegan menu offers a range of meat-free fast-food options, including Beyond Meat burgers, fried Chick'n burgers and popcorn Chick'n, dirty fries, and shakes.
