So, there wasn’t really any doubt that James Cameron’s multi-billion-dollar Avatar franchise might crash and burn with this third outing.

With the previous two movies being the first and third highest-grossing films of all time ($5.2 billion between them), cinema’s box office King Midas was never likely to fail. He’s an old pro; a safe pair of hands.
