Australia's first female High Court judge dies

Pioneering Australian judge Mary Gaudron has been honoured for her contributions to Australia's legal landscape after her death at age 83.

Ms Gaudron became the first woman appointed to the High Court of Australia in 1987 at age 44 and served until 2003.
