Australia's share market has started the week lower, fading in a lacklustre session with low trading volumes and few headlines to drive volatility.

The S&P/ASX200 fell 37 points on Monday, or 0.42 per cent, to 8,725.7, as the broader All Ordinaries lost 37 points, or 0.41 per cent, to 9,032.
