Australia's share market has ground slightly lower as conflict in the Middle East puts pressure on oil prices and weighs on investor confidence.

The S&P/ASX200 fell 7.1 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 8,541.3, as the broader All Ordinaries lost 3.9 points, or 0.04 per cent, to 8,771.1.
