NEW DELHI: After overcoming a scare on Sunday to get to the second round of the Australian Open, Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen acknowledged that she was nervous on the first day.

The fifth seed defeated brave rookie Anca Todoni 7-6 (7/3), 6-1 after needing to save three set points.
