Australia is staring failure at home Olympic and Commonwealth games because of a $2 billion shortfall in government funding, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) says.
The AOC wants the federal government to establish a dedicated federal department of sports to fight what it says is a chronic decline in investment.
