Although Arsenal managed to shift a number of fringe players on in January, the only senior signing they officially announced came in the form of American defender, Auston Trusty.
Trusty, 23, joined from MLS side Colorado Rapids, where he will spend the rest of the season on loan before joining up with Mikel Arteta's squad in the summer.
Whilst a number of Arsenal fans will be asking who he is, Trusty's move makes sense after the Gunners allowed versatile defender Calum Chambers to leave the club during the January window, with the Englishman joining Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa - seven-and-a-half-years after arriving at the Emirates Stadium from Southampton.
And Trusty is thankful for the faith shown in him by Edu and Mikel Arteta, as well as the time he's spent at Colorado Rapids, as he's expressed on social media.
"Honored, excited and grateful to be joining @arsenal," he wrote on Twitter.
"Growing up in Media, PA, the thought of joining such a prestigious club seemed crazy. Today that crazy dream became a reality.
"Thank you to the entire @coloradorapids organization and a huge thank you to my coaches + support staff for helping me grow these last 2 years on and off the field. I would also like to thank my agents Duncan and Ryan for working on this deal."
He continued by expressing how excited he is to get going and he pledged to work hard for the Gunners in the future.
"The work is nowhere near finished but I am incredibly excited for what's to come in the future!"
Trusty is expected to be joined by fellow American Matt Turner in the summer who also agreed a deal to sign for the Gunners, football.london understands.
He isn't the marquee signing Arsenal fans would've wanted, but Trusty seems determined to get things right in red and white, and that will encourage supporters in the future.
