Austerity appeal: Sharad Pawar urges PM Modi to convene all-party meet

Mumbai: NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for austerity is likely to have a far-reaching impact on the economy and urged him to convene an all-party meeting to discuss the situation.

Pawar said the sudden appeal had created unease among ordinary citizens, businesses, industrial sectors and investors.
