NEW DELHI: The formidable Australian cricket team is geared up to face a Bangladesh side missing their captain, Shakib Al Hasan, on Saturday. Australia, having already secured a spot in the World Cup semifinals, aim to maintain their stellar form in the final league match before the knockout stage.
The five-time champions have been on an unstoppable rampage, triumphing in their last six encounters against various opponents. Their recent victory against Afghanistan showcased a breathtaking performance by all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who, despite battling cramps, smashed an unbeaten 201 off 128 balls, steering Australia from a precarious 91 for seven to the victory target of 292.
