Audio from the moment a "full emergency" was declared when smoke emerged from the wheel of a Ryanair plane has been released.
The aviation radio communications between the Ryanair crew and ATC tower have been shared from the moment the incident happened on Sunday, April 9. The landing gear malfunction happened on board the B738 flight from Liverpool to Dublin Airport.
A "trail of sparks" appeared when the plane touched down on the runway at Dublin. It quickly became apparent to onlookers that there was an issue with the front landing gear of the plane and emergency services rushed to the scene.

Audio and video from the moment has been released by VASAviation on YouTube. There were no injuries in the incident and the plane was later removed from the runway which closed for some time afterward, DublinLive reports.
On the audio someone can be heard saying "the Ryanair on the runway...there was a lot of smoke and sparks". The ATC tower can be heard telling cabin crew "vehicles on the way."
The crew asks "can you see any fire or smoke?" to which the air traffic controller responds "no fire at the moment but there was a lot of sparks and smoke on touchdown". The ATC can then be heard saying "Ryanair 5542 rescue vehicles are on the way - no smoke or fire observed from the tower at the moment, just looks like a gear failure."
The audio then has ATC communicating with other departures and explaining that the runway will be closed for some time and that departures and arrivals will go from the north runway with some short delays expected. The runway was opened shortly after the incident as work began to safely bring passengers from the plane and tow it to a hangar.
A Ryanair spokeswoman said: "This flight from Liverpool to Dublin (9 Apr) experienced a minor technical issue with its nose landing gear upon landing. Passengers and crew disembarked normally and the aircraft will shortly be towed back to the hangar for further inspection by Ryanair engineers."
A Dublin Airport Authority spokesman told Dublin Live: "A Full Emergency was declared at Dublin Airport this afternoon update following the arrival of Ryanair flight FR5542 from Liverpool. The Dublin Airport Fire Service responded, and the passengers disembarked the aircraft normally once the all clear was given by the Airport Fire Officer. Air Traffic flows into Dublin Airport were suspended during the incident."
