Audience member who stormed out of 'show about gays' inspires Leeds LGBT fundraiser

A theatre company is raising money for a community group in Leeds which supports the LGBT+ community.

The fundraising page was created by Bite My Thumb, a community arts group, after an audience member who stormed out of Jonathan Larson’s RENT because they “didn’t realise it was about gays.”

The incident occured on March 12 at Leeds' Carriagework Theatre in Millenium Square during a production of Jonathan Larson’s award-winning rock musical RENT.
