An Audi driver shouted "don't call the police" to shocked bystanders after crashing into two parked vehicles.
Neighbours on Finch Lane, Dovecot were woken up in the early hours of Monday, August 29, after an Audi crashed into two parked vehicles. A grey Suzuki Splash and a white transit van were severely damaged in the crash.
One resident said they went out to see what happened and heard a man fleeing the scene shouting "don't call the police". They added they saw a man being confronted by police at the end of the road.

Merseyside Police has confirmed they arrested a 42-year-old man from Stockbridge Village on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident; failing to provide a sample and suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink/drugs. He was interviewed by detectives and released under investigation.
A spokesperson from the force said: "At about 12.30am a black Audi car travelling down Finch Lane collided with two stationary vehicles a Suzuki Splash and an white transit van, causing extensive damage. The driver of the Audi then made off, but was arrested nearby a short time later."
