Merseyside police have arrested a man after a serious crash.
Emergency services rushed to the junction of Crosby Road South and Knowsley Road, at around 6.45pm on Sunday, April 23. Officers found that an Audi RS6 and a Volkswagen Polo had crashed in the Seaforth area.
The driver of the Polo was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a stable condition. Police at the scene arrested the Audi driver, a 44-year-old man from Ormskirk, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a two-vehicle collision in Seaforth last night, Sunday 23rd April. Emergency services were contacted at around 6.45pm following reports an Audi RS6 and a Volkswagen Polo had been in collision at the junction of Crosby Road South and Knowsley Road.
"The driver of the Volkswagen, a 25-year-old man from the Litherland area, was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. The driver of the Audi, a 44-year-old man from the Ormskirk area was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
