Rutherglen Glencairn boss Willie Harvey has nothing but praise for his players despite their 6-0 West of Scotland Premier League hammering at Auchinleck Talbot last night - but tore a strip off the match officials.
Talbot ran riot against Harvey's men at Beechwood Park, and he has no complaints about the outcome against a side he feels is the best in the West of Scotland.
But he blasted card-happy referee Calum Haswell, who also allowed two goals to stand in the second half that Harvey didn't feel were justified.
Suspensions will kick in due to the number of yellow cards and a red card for Glencairn defender Mick O'Byrne, which are are going to affect Glencairn as they go into their last four games of the season that will prove crucial in their bid to stay in the top flight.
That, in particular, is what had Harvey so angry, and he said: "When you go down to Auchinleck Talbot you're looking for the officials to be strong, and I'm afraid to say they weren't.
"I'm not moaning about the result, or about the sending off - my centre-half accepts it, and we accept it.
"But the decisions after that were bizarre to say the least, some of the bookings that were given out, and two goals in the second half.
"I can't fault my players. We were down to 10 men after 16 minutes, 4-0 down at half-time and two goals in the second half.
"One is a penalty that the referee is five yards from and doesn't give, and the linesman gives it, who is 25 yards away.
"The second goal was at a free kick and was offside, my players are adamant, 100 per cent, so we lost two goals in the second half that shouldn't count.
"Big Mick is distraught after it, but he has been absolutely superb for us all season, and probably one of my most important players. He's a leader on and off the park, and he just made a rash tackle.
"I feel the referee was too sharp with his sending off. Was it a sending off? Most likely. That's not my argument, I'm not angry about that, or pulling them to task for that.
"But when you go down to Auchinleck you need your officials to be strong, and I'm afraid to say we didn't have strong officials."
Harvey says the decisions didn't influence the outcome of the game, necessarily, but was annoyed with how it all ended up.
He said: "We wouldn't have won the game, wouldn't have drawn the game, but I just don't like to see my players taken apart the way they were. It's not the result we wanted.
"Did I expect to win there? Probably not, you'd have taken anything out of it, and the idea was hopefully to go down and not get a doing.
"Six-nothing sounds like a doing but it wasn't. My players acquitted themselves really well with 10 men.
"You're playing against Auchinleck, the best team in the West of Scotland Football League. They've been like that for years. They don't stop just because you go down to 10 men - if anything they tried their best to punish us even worse.
"I have nothing but praise for my players for the way they stood up to the barrage.
"But the officials need to be stronger, and I felt he was just throwing the yellow card about like confetti."
Glencairn have three home games in a row in their final four fixtures, starting with Benburb on Saturday, which will be vital to Glencairn's final league position, and Harvey hopes they come through them well.
He said: "We move on to our home games, and see how we can go.
"The problem, though, is a lot of the bookings that were thrown about causes us problems with suspensions and things like that.
"It's a massive game on Saturday, and we've got to pick up our games at home. I saw enough in my players on Wednesday night and against Glenafton to know that they've got it about them.
"We've got a couple of suspensions that kick in, a couple of injuries, but we're not going to make excuses. It is what it is, and we'll get on with it.
"We'll do our utmost best to fight our corner."
