Yet another edge rusher is set to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars. According to Aaron Wilson of KRPC 2 in Houston, Auburn’s Derick Hall has visits scheduled with the Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons.
Hall is a 6’3, 254-pound pass rusher who earned First Team All-SEC honors in 2022 after racking up seven sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and one interception for the Tigers. He’s also an exceptionally long rusher with 34.5-inch arms, something Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke typically emphasizes.
At the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, Hall posted a 4.55-second 40-yard dash and a 33.5-inch vertical jump.
Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN recently ranked Hall as the fifth best outside linebacker in the 2023 NFL Draft, and he’s likely to be selected on Day 2.
Pass rushers and defensive linemen appear to be the position most under the microscope by the Jaguars in the final weeks before the 2023 NFL Draft. Hall is one of several edge rushers, along with Georgia’s Nolan Smith and Tennessee’s Byron Young, reportedly making trips to Jacksonville before draft day. Hall’s Auburn teammate Colby Wooden is also set to visit.
