Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza is reportedly pregnant with her first child.
The 41-year-old actress is expecting a baby with her partner, actor Christopher Abbott, and is due in the spring, PEOPLE reported.
“It was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,” a source told the outlet. “They feel very blessed.”
Plaza was left grieving the loss of her husband, Jeff Baena, who passed away in January 2025. According to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office obtained by Page Six, the screenwriter died by suicide at the age of 47.
The couple, who married in 2021, had separated four months prior to his death.
Plaza opened up about his passing last August during her appearance on former co-star and friend Amy Poehler’s award-winning Good Hang podcast.
“Right in this very very present moment, I feel happy to be with you,” the actress shared. “Overall, I’m here and I’m functioning.”
Plaza added that she was “very grateful to be moving through the world” and felt “OK”.
“At all times, there’s, like, a giant ocean of just awfulness that’s just right there and I can see it.”
She continued, “Sometimes I just want to dive into it and be in it. And sometimes I look at it and sometimes I just try to get away from it, but it’s always there.”
She also paid tribute to her late ex at the SNL 50th anniversary special.
Plaza and Abott previously worked together in the 2023-2024 off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, and were also co-stars in the 2020 comedic thriller Black Bear.
Plaza and her boyfriend were most recently seen together on February 14, when they attended Khaite’s Fall/Winter 2026 show during New York Fashion Week. They were photographed seated next to each other in the front row, alongside celebrities such as Elizabeth Debicki and Gemma Chan.
Before announcing her pregnancy, the Agatha All Along star had largely kept her relationship with Abbott out of the public eye.
