Attorney General Merrick Garland is set to address the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, where he is expected to strongly denounce the accusations and conspiracy theories put forth by Republicans regarding the alleged weaponization of the Justice Department against former President Donald Trump.

In his opening statements, Garland will emphasize the department's commitment to upholding the rule of law and its independence from political influence. The Attorney General's remarks come in response to what he views as baseless attacks on the integrity of the Justice Department.
