Our pets are not just our companions but also our family members. And their death often leaves behind a huge void which cannot be filled. However, apart from the emotional distress a pet parent goes through after their beloved pet passes away, they also often face issues with performing the last rites or cremation of their furry friends. Keeping this in mind, the Agra Municipal Corporation is now planning to install an incinerator plant for the cremation of animals in a scientific way, as per a report by Hindustan. And any animal lover will be able to get the last rites of an animal done by paying a nominal charge for it.
The incinerator plant that will be set-up soon in Kuberpur, Agra is not just for pets but also other small animals, including monkeys and stray dogs. As per the report, due to a lack of proper facility for animal cremation, people often either bury the dead animal or pack them in a jute bag and throw them in the river-- thus causing land and river pollution, respectively. However, now with the upcoming facility, which is expected to be functional in six months, land and river pollution can be prevented.
