Attempted murder investigation update as detectives quiz arrested man

Officers have been given more time to question a man arrested after a man was stabbed in Trafford and left fighting for his life.

A man in his 20 was subjected to an 'unprovoked attack' in alley that runs along Kingsway Park in Davyhulme on Monday, June 19, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

He was rushed to hospital for surgery. He remained in a 'critical but stable condition' on Saturday.
