‘Attack on press freedom’: Press Club of India condemns FIR against Maktoob Media

The Press Club of India (PCI) has condemned the West Bengal Police’s decision to file an FIR against Maktoob Media over its reporting on the alleged exclusion of Muslim IAS and IPS officers from meetings during Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visits to the state. In a statement dated September 26, the PCI called the FIR “an attack on press freedom and part of the pattern to attempt to stop any independent journalism in the country.”

The Press Club of India condemns the West Bengal Police's decision to file an FIR against Maktoob Media for its reporting.
