The two remaining spots in the semi-finals will be decided today, as the group stage comes to a close. With a perfect record, Alexander Zverev already has one foot in the knockouts, while Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud are on one win apiece. Andrey Rublev is yet to score a set, but if he's able to beat Ruud in straight sets and Zverev does the same against Alcaraz, we'll get a three-way tie that would go down to percentage of games won.

The player that tops the group will face Taylor Fritz on Saturday, with the runner-up set for a showdown with Jannik Sinner. As things stand ahead of play on Friday, it will be Alcaraz who'll have to take on the world No.1.
It's worth remembering that the Italian hadn't won a grand slam before 2024. He's topped the rankings since June, by virtue of winning the Australian and US Opens, as well as a multitude of Masters 1000 and 500 events. Those two failed anti-doping tests, however, won't be forgotten in a hurry. The French Open and Wimbledon titles were snapped up by Alcaraz.
Both Fritz and Alexander Zverev have all had the dubious honor of losing major finals to Sinner and Alcaraz this year. Unlike his younger adversary, however, Zverev has lifted the ATP Finals trophy.

The software allows your devices to appear to be back in your home country regardless of where in the world you are. So ideal for viewers away on vacation or on business. Our favorite is NordVPN. It's the best on the market:
Using a VPN is incredibly simple.
1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we've said, NordVPN is our favorite.
2. Choose the location you wish to connect to in the VPN app. For instance if you're in the U.S. and want to view an Italian service, you'd select Italy from the list.
