Atlético Madrid condemned Manchester United to a 2-0 Champions League defeat in Madrid on Tuesday night, piling pressure on Michael Carrick after Pablo Barrios scored inside 53 seconds, Leny Yoro was sent off and Ademola Lookman struck late to seal the result.
United, who had won only twice all season before the game, leave Madrid with their difficult start to the campaign unrelieved and their manager facing further scrutiny.
