Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has spoken about the future of Arsenal transfer target Joao Felix.
The Gunners added Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus to their attack last summer, bringing in the former Manchester City star for north of £45 million. Jesus was an instant hit at the Emirates Stadium, netting five times and providing a further five assists in his first 14 Premier League outings for Mikel Arteta's side.
However, the 25-year-old suffered a knee injury during the Selecao's World Cup campaign in Qatar, leaving Arteta with Eddie Nketiah as his only recognised centre-forward at this moment in time. That has resulted in Arsenal being linked to a number of forwards in recent times, including Atletico frontman Felix - who is said to be available for a loan move during the January transfer window.

The Portuguese international has struggled since completing a £113 million move from Benfica back in 2019, netting just 34 times in 131 outings for the Spanish giants and the club's president Cerezo has now spoken about the future of the 23-year-old, remaining coy on a potential exit. Speaking to DAZN, via Teamtalk, he said: “João Félix future?
"I always say the players play where in the club that they want… I don't know where João wants to play.
“I think he's now feeling so good here at Atléti. It depends on João and on the situation."
Cerezo added: "Nothing is impossible in life, but the normal thing is that Joao Felix stays at Atletico Madrid."
