Atletico Madrid will cash in on Nottingham Forest loanee Renan Lodi this summer regardless of whether the Reds decide to sign the Brazilian, according to reports in Spain.
After taking time to settle with the Reds, the defender has become a key part of Steve Cooper’s side, making the left-back spot his own. The Reds have an option to buy Lodi for €30million (around £26m) in the summer but there are no guarantees they will take up, even if they retain their Premier League status.
Last month, Everton were linked with Lodi, although their interest will hinge on the outcome of their own relegation battle.

It appears Lodi will not be playing his football with Atletico, or be even attached to Madrid giants, who are looking to move him on permanently, reports Spanish title AS.
If Forest don’t take up their option, Atletico will still "look for a transfer" for him in the Premier League as they believe there is substantial interest in the player from other English clubs.
Overall, Lodi has made 21 appearances for Forest this season and will have a key role play as Steve Cooper’s side look to retain their top-flight status.
