AT&T shares rose 4% after the telecom company reported stronger second-quarter earnings, added more than 1 million advanced connectivity customers and said it would accelerate share buybacks this year. The stock gained after the company’s results showed growth across fiber, fixed wireless and postpaid phone subscribers. AT&T also reiterated its full-year 2026 and multi-year financial guidance, giving investors comfort that its network investment-led strategy is translating into higher revenue, profit and cash flow.
Revenue for the second quarter stood at $31.6 billion, up 2.3% from the same quarter last year. Income from continuing operations rose 3.6% year-on-year to $5 billion. Adjusted EBITDA increased 5.2% to $12.3 billion.
