At least 90 killed in China coal mine blast

The death toll from a gas ​explosion at a coal mine ‌in Shanxi province in northern China has reached 90, the state broadcaster CCTV reported on Saturday.

The gas explosion occurred late on Friday at the Liushenyu coal ​mine in ⁠Qinyuan county, with 247 workers on duty underground, the Xinhua news agency reported earlier in the day.
