Videos circulating on social media and local television showed plumes of smoke rising from the complex as emergency teams conducted rescue operations.
The Taliban’s spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, condemned the attack as a violation of humanitarian principles, calling it a “crime against humanity” and accusing Pakistan of deliberately targeting civilian sites. Deputy government spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat confirmed that casualty figures were still rising as search and rescue efforts continued.
