A "spooky" object that keeps shining and then disappearing in space has been spotted by astronomers who say it is unlike anything seen before.
The object appears to release a giant burst of energy three times an hour before disappearing, which has left astronomers scratching their heads.
As it spins through space it sends out a beam of radiation, and for one minute in every twenty minutes it is one of the brightest objects in the sky.
