West Ham United are reportedly favourites to land Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson this summer if he fails to agree a new deal at the Emirates.
That is according to the Daily Mirror, who claim the Hammers are of the belief Nelson will make the switch across London if he makes an Arsenal exit at the end of the season. Nelson is currently in talks over signing a new deal at the Gunners and while his preference is to stay at the club, an agreement is yet to be reached.
It is said his situation has put a number of clubs on 'alert' ahead of the summer, with West Ham, Brighton, Atalanta, Roma and several Bundesliga clubs keeping tabs on him. Nelson, though, is reportedly keen to stay in the capital even if he departs Arsenal, which has placed West Ham at the front of the queue.

Their pursuit of the 23 year-old will also hinge on whether they are to maintain their Premier League status this season. The Hammers currently sit four points above the bottom three but are still very much in the battle to beat the drop ahead of the final few weeks of the season.
David Moyes' side will be able to offer Nelson more regular game time than Arsenal, with the Hale End graduate having played just 107 minutes of Premier League football this term. That said, Nelson's contribution in his brief time on the pitch has been vital for Mikel Arteta, netting three goals and providing two assists, including the 97th minute winner against Bournemouth at the beginning of March.
