The price of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has seemingly leaked ahead of Ubisoft's official reveal later today, and if you were hoping it would be significantly cheaper because it's a remake, I'm afraid I've got some bad news.
Billbil-kun, who has been leaking all sorts of things from PS Plus line-ups to hardware for years now, has posted on their Twitter account revealing new details about the "worst-kept secret" in games. Not only do they echo the rumor that we'll be playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on July 9, 2026, but they also share a look at the Collector's Edition of the game, which is apparently set to feature the likes of a map, notebook, and statue of Edward Kenway.
Most notably however, Billbil-kun also claims the price of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will come in at $59.99 / £49.99 for the standard edition. Meanwhile, the Collector's Edition will come in at $199.99 / £174.99.
Obviously, this isn't as bad as the likes of an $80 Mario Kart World, or even the standard $70 we've sadly grown accustomed to over the years, but there's definitely going to be some who object to paying almost full price for a game released in 2013. We'll just have to wait and see if these claims hold true when the game is officially unveiled later today.
Rumors and leaked footage do seem to imply that this will be a full-blown remake of the game as opposed to a simple remaster. Hopefully Ubisoft can justify the price for some, because if any Assassin's Creed game deserves it, it's Black Flag.
These are the best Assassin's Creed games.
