An aspiring Victorian musician accused of raping a woman while he gave her a massage will stand trial after pleading not guilty.

Chris Heskett, 25, on Tuesday faced Melbourne Magistrates Court, where he pleaded not guilty to five charges including rape and sexual assault against a woman at Heathmont in September 2018.

Heskett was then committed to stand trial before the Victorian County Court.

A man said the woman, who cannot be named, told him she had gone to get a massage from Heskett and that after she turned over from her stomach onto her back he allegedly kissed and assaulted her.

Another witness said after the woman mentioned the alleged rape he told Heskett to "get out of her life" and leave her alone.

"You better not do that to another female ... that's f***ing disgusting," the man said to Heskett in a message read out to court.

"If you can't handle your dick, it's c***s like you that rape."

Heskett is expected to face a directions hearing before the Victorian County Court on March 16.

The musician has more than 10,000 followers on Instagram and has "ambitions to become the next big solo acoustic act", according to his website.
