Aslan have postponed their 3Arena gig this Saturday due to a "setback" with Christy Dignam's health.
The gig at the 3Arena was set to celebrate 40 years of the legendary Finglas band, with a "lot of special guests joining them on stage" according to guitarist Billy McGuinness. However, ticket holders were told today that the gig would have to be pushed back after doctors told Christy, who is battling the incurable rare blood disease amyloidosis, that it was "not advisable" for him to perform.
They said: “Everything was going so well coming up to our 3Arena show and Christy was doing great. However, he has suffered a set-back with his treatment, and we have now been instructed by his doctors that it is not advisable for Christy to perform this Saturday.
