German giants Bayern Munich have become the latest team to be linked with Nottingham Forest defender Djed Spence.
The on-loan Middlesbrough ace already has a long list of potential suitors ahead of the summer transfer window, with his eye-catching form for the Reds putting him in the spotlight.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Leeds United, Brentford, Southampton, Roma and Inter Milan have already been linked with the on-loan Middlesbrough ace, while Tottenham Hotspur reportedly still have him on their radar after seeing two bids turned down in January.
Earlier this week, it was reported at least a dozen sides have sent scouts to check on Spence in recent months.
And Sky Sports now claim Bayern “are interested” in snapping him up, having already cast an eye over him.
It is said they will continue to keep tabs on him in upcoming games, and if he continues to impress, an approach to Boro is expected to be made “in the coming weeks”.
Fellow Bundesliga sides Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig are also reportedly tracking his progress.
Forest fans have reacted to the latest transfer update on the 21-year-old, who is valued at around £15m, with wry humour.
One said: “For some reason I don't think we'll be keeping him anymore…”
Another quipped: “Could #nffc match their offer? Asking for a few friends”
And another added: “Gonna be a sad day when this man departs, can see him going to the very top #nffc ”
The wing-back has been a key figure as Forest have climbed the Championship table and progressed in the FA Cup under Steve Cooper.
He chipped in with an assist at the weekend to set up Brennan Johnson’s opener in a comfortable 2-0 win over Bristol City.
And he has found the net twice himself in 28 appearances since heading to the City Ground on loan in the summer.
