NEW DELHI: The Indian men's table tennis team managed to secure their spot in the quarterfinals of the Asian Games, while the women's team faced elimination after a tough contest.

In the men's team event, the Indian team defeated Kazakhstan in a closely contested match. Veteran Achanta Sharath Kamal played a crucial role in helping the team secure a victory. The match was tied 2-2 when Sharath Kamal produced a face-saving win in the decisive fifth rubber.
