NEW DELHI: The Indian archery compound women's team, comprising Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Aditi Gopichand, and Parneet Kaur, achieved a remarkable feat by securing a gold medal at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou. The trio's outstanding performance culminated in a closely contested victory against Chinese Taipei's Yi-Hsuan Chen, I-Jou Huang, and Lu-Yun Wang, with a final score of 230-229.
The thrilling match had a competitive start, with Chinese Taipei taking the first set with a score of 56-54. However, the Indian archers displayed remarkable resilience and control as they dominated the rest of the match, eventually clinching India's second gold in archery at the Asian Games.
