Asia's largest food and beverage trade show, "Thaifex -- Anuga Asia", will return bigger than before the pandemic for five days from May 23-27, at Impact Challenger 1-5 and Hall 5-12, Muang Thong Thani.
Organised under the theme "Beyond Food Experience" by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Koelnmesse, this will be a global platform for entrepreneurs to negotiate deals, become inspired, discover innovations and technologies while creating marketing opportunities in the region.
More than 3,000 companies from 43 countries, including 1,200 Thai businesses, will showcase their products and services across 5,500 booths. The participating countries come from East Asia, Asean, Europe, the US, Australia, Latin America, and the Middle East. The event expects to attract 60,000 visitors from 120 countries.
The trade show will feature 11 zones, featuring a diverse range of food and beverage products, including coffee and tea, drinks, fine food, food service, food technology, frozen food, fruits and vegetables, meat, rice, seafood, and sweets and confectionery.
There will be special activities -- the "Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge" competition, knowledge-sharing seminars, and "Export Clinic", a trade fair activity with commercial attachés.
Special zones for consumers to get updated on food trends will cover a Halal market, an organic market, a future food market, "Future Food Experience+", "Taste Innovation Show", and "Thai Select Pavilion".
Besides information kiosks from various agencies, the event will present interesting exhibitions -- the "DITP Service Center", "Thailand: The Land Of Tropical Fruits", Thai herbal products, and "Thaifex -- Anuga Halal Pavilion".
Held in parallel with the on-ground event, the virtual trade show will enable attendees to browse and select product categories of interest, while viewing 3D models, videos, product catalogues, and product images. They can also negotiate trade deals via video calls, chat, or messaging.
This full-scale return of the trade fair will also present innovative and environmentally conscious production methods, including carbon footprint and Eco-score labelling while highlighting zero waste and food waste products to promote sustainable practices across the value chain.
It's open to trade and business visitors daily from 10am to 6pm while members of the public are invited only on the last day from 10am to 8pm.
