NEW DELHI: Pakistan bowling legend Wasim Akram on Sunday said that the Asia Cup would serve as a crucial examination of the preparedness of subcontinental bowlers for the 50-over cricket format, especially considering the impending ODI World Cup.
The Asia Cup starts from Wednesday with Pakistan facing Nepal in Multan while the most anticipated encounter between arch-rivals India and Pakistan will take place in Kandy on September 2.
