Ashton Kutcher has had to apologise to Harry Styles after things got very awkward at a karaoke party.
The actor admitted he had no idea who the British singer was when they first met - and things got rather embarrassing.
Ashton, 44, has explained that he and wife Mila Kunis were at a get together hosted by their neighbour.
He explained that he had been left impressed after seeing a guest perform ABBA so went up to compliment the performance.
Telling Harry he could do sing for a living, the former One Direction star, 29, was just happy with the A Lister's comment.
"My neighbour was throwing a karaoke party, and she gets up and does this out of this world, bananas, and I’m just like, this is so unfair - and then this other kid gets up and he does this ABBA song," he added to Esquire.
"I said ;Man, I gotta tell you something. You're like a karaoke ringer. You're really good, like, really good.''
Humbly, Harry told him he 'appreciated' the compliment.
To Ashton's horror, his friend soon told him who the person putting on the performance actually was.
Ashton recalled: "I was like, 'Oh my God, now I feel like a jerk,' he's a professional singer, and we're trying to tell him he's a good singer!
"I just really want to say I'm sorry, Harry Styles."
Harry knows what it feels like to be left red faced.
He suffered a wardrobe malfunction while performing in front of his "first crush" Jennifer Aniston last week.
The singer split his trousers right down the middle during his Los Angeles concert on Thursday night, which was attended by the 53-year-old Friends icon.
Harry had been singing his hit song Music For A Sushi Restaurant when the awkward incident occurred.
The former One Direction member dropped to his knees before making a shocked face to the crowd as he realised his pants had split.
He quickly covered the rip with his hands and managed to see the funny side, apologising to members of the audience in the front row.
"My trousers ripped. I feel I must apologise to a certain few of you right down in the front there. I mean, this is a family show," he said.
Addressing one man in particular, Harry added: "You sir, are you OK? I promise it’s not part of the show."
