Ashley Cole leaves England Under-21s coaching role after successive Euros triumphs

Ashley Cole England Lee Carsley Euros Cesena FA Serie B

Ashley Cole has decided to leave his role as an England Under-21 coach, the FA confirmed on Tuesday.
Working under manager Lee Carsley, Cole helped the Under-21s win successive Euros titles in 2023 and 2025.
Cole also took up a position as head coach of Serie B side Cesena in March before leaving the club at the end of last season.
Carsley paid tribute to Cole following his departure, hailing his “key role” in England’s success in recent years.
During his playing career, Cole earned 107 caps for England and represented the national team at five major tournaments.
