SNP leadership candidate Ash Regan has announced an action plan for party members following “candid” feedback she has received while on the campaign trail.
After officially kicking off her campaign last week, Regan has been touring the north east of Scotland speaking to SNP members and pro-independence campaign groups.
She said that the conversations she has held informed the new action plan.
“It’s been clear from talking to members that there is work to do,” said Regan.
“I’ve gathered up a lot of very candid sentiment that focuses on key themes of: transparency, accountability, modernity and accessibility.
“Following this critical feedback I’ve setup the SNP - Action Plan. As I get more feedback and as actions progress, we will revert to members and update the action plan as required.”
The plan is divided into four areas and makes various claims about changes due to occur if Regan is elected as party leader and first minister.
They include publishing an overview of the party’s finances every quarter, including “actual ring fencing of funds for key electoral tests”, and the creation of a “political intelligence portal”, which would gather information about “local issues, opposition, and community work”.
It also aims to overhaul SNP HQ, with “smaller offices spread through the country, rather than just a central hub in Edinburgh".
