Asda worker tells breastfeeding mum to 'cover up' as she tries to feed baby

An Asda store has said sorry after a breastfeeding mum was told to "cover up" as she tried to finish her shop. Gemma Balmbra was left fuming after the Asda checkout worker spoke to her as she went through the till at an Edinburgh branch of the supermarket

She said she was left feeling intimidated by the worker and immediately reported the incident to a manager. And she says she was backed by other people in the queue with one reporting it to a different manager.

Gemma has now vowed never to return to the Straiton superstore following her treatment last Monday. The 26-year-old told how she was shopping with her six-week-old baby and five-year-old son when the incident happened, reports Edinburgh Live.
