Supermarket giant ASDA has 'horrified' shoppers with an awkward typo on one of its Halloween decorations. A shopper shared a picture of the decoration online, where it's gone viral.
With Halloween this weekend, ASDA has stocked up on spooky decorations and costumes. However, one of its decorations has scared people for a different reason.
The product in question is a hangable plastic sign that resembles faux wood and features dark red letters. It's seemingly meant to say "spooky", however, one bemused Asda shopper spotted a version of shelves with a missing letter "k" that instead reads "spoooy".

Sharing a snap of the decoration to a UK-based subreddit intended for casual discussions and commentaries, the Reddit user wrote alongside it "the only thing spooky about ASDAs Halloween decorations is their quality control". Fellow customers were quick to join in, poking their own fun at the novelty decor item, reports MyLondon.
One replier wrote: "Thanks to the non-biodegrading nature of plastic, thousands of years from now archaeologists will conclude that we had no concept of spellcheck."
A second Reddit user added: "This looks like the kind of word that would appear in the 60s Batman show when he punched someone". A third person, meanwhile, said: "Well worth £15 quid, I'd say. K's are expensive, and would up the price to at least £20."
The latter racked up nearly 60 upvotes (similar to "likes") from other users and even warranted a response from the original poster. Referencing hit board game Scrabble, they joked "Well a K is worth 5 points, so you're probably right".
Others said "Spoooy is the new spoopy I guess" and commented "I'd be more inclined to buy it this way than if it were spelled correctly".
However, a number of the post's viewers were distracted by the price of the decoration, with one writing "I’m more outraged at the price! £15 for that piece of tat?!"
Another added "I had to zoom in and read the label because I thought I was somehow misreading £1.50..." Others also wrote "£15 for that?!", "15 f***in' quid for that?" and "Can't believe this plastic tat is still a thing", with a fourth writing "15£???"
