Random Acts of Kindness Day came to an Asda branch on Thursday - and a woman was left speechless by just how nice a total stranger was.
Channel Wilson visited the superstore in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester, to pick up her prescription.
But the Manchester Evening News reports that she ran into trouble when she tried to collect at the pharmacy.
As the 25-year-old went to pay for her medication at the till, her card came up declined.
Then, when her Apple Watch also wouldn’t work, she got a tap on the shoulder.
Without knowing the total cost, a customer behind her offered to pay her bill.
Channel insisted she would repay the woman by transferring her the money - but she refused.
The shopper says she was completely taken aback by the kind gesture.
She said: “She didn’t even know the amount of the prescription it could have been multiple items.
“It was one but she didn’t know that and was willing to pay for my whole bill.
“She was so generous and kind and I said ‘No honestly, it’s fine, I’ll go and get my card from the car’ and she and tapped her card on the machine.
“I asked if I could transfer you the money and told me no and to go and enjoy my day.
“I just couldn’t believe how generous and kind she was.”
