Asda is asking customers not to eat some of its mince pies as they might contain pieces of plastic.
The supermarket is recalling three varieties of Extra Special Mince Pies and a notice has been issued to the public through the Food Standards Agency. Asda says it is taking this action as a precaution as the festive treats may be unsafe to eat.
Customers are being advised not to consume these products but to return them to an Asda store for a full refund. You do not need a receipt to return the items. More details about the recall are given below.

Action taken by the company
Asda is recalling the above products from customers. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the products.
Advice to consumers
