A North East carer said he has been left humiliated and confused after being told to leave a supermarket by staff who 'didn't like the way he shopped'.
Matthew Scholes said he visited ASDA to do his his weekly shop after a 12 hour night shift at a care home. But the 49-year-old said he was followed around the store by a staff member with a clipboard and when he got to the alcohol aisle was told by a female worker "we have seen you in here before" and "I want you to leave the store right now".
Matthew said he tried to explain he had done nothing wrong but she kept repeating herself and he had no choice but to put his basket down and leave the shop. He said he contacted the retailer about the incident and was left stunned by their response.
