Asda has announced plans to open its first standalone convenience stores - and they’ll be up and running before Christmas.
The new format will be called “Asda Express” with stores opening in Sutton Coldfield on November 8 and Tottenham Hale, London, on December 6.
Asda said the openings will create 37 new jobs. The supermarket will go on to open a further 30 sites next year, creating about 500 new roles.
