Asda is giving customers a free £5 voucher when they sign up for the supermarket's rewards scheme this month.
New users of the Asda Rewards app can get a "First Scan Bonus" when they sign up and scan the app when they next shop at the supermarket.
Asda Rewards, which was launched last August, is an app-based loyalty scheme that allows customers to build up "pounds" in a "cashpot".
They money saved up can then be used to create vouchers that can be spent in Asda shops.
Shoppers can make a voucher with as little as £1, with the maximum voucher amount at £100.
To build up the points, all you need to do is scan your Asda app at the till when you shop.
If you are an online shopper, you can connect your Asda Rewards app to your online account and build up the points that way.
You can redeem your Cashpot whenever you choose by creating a voucher in the app with the money you have saved.
The big four supermarket first introduced the "First Scan Bonus" in February and over the course of the month shoppers collected over £2million in their Cashpots
Following this success, Asda has reintroduced the offer for the next few weeks.
The "First Scan Bonus" will run from April 12 until May 3 and it will be available both in store and online with no minimum spend required.
So if you download the app for the first time and scan it to buy a single banana you will still benefit from the £5 bonus.
Customers who have previously downloaded the app but are yet to scan for the first time will also benefit from the bonus.
You can download the Asda Rewards app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
If you have the rewards app, you can also earn extra in your Cashpot by buying "Star Products" or by completing in-app missions that are themed by product types.
Different missions are added to the app regularly - they range from buying a certain number of products from a particular department, to spending a minimum amount over multiple visits.
Asda shoppers can now expect new Missions and Star Products every week and for events such as the King’s Coronation and Easter half-term holidays.
